Rustic Wedding Venue near Dallas, TX

Jewels by https://modwestjewelry.com/ who always does a stunning job, especially for wedding day jewels. I have photographed many of their pieces over the years and they are always a show stopper. Her leather bouquet wrap and her shoes are courtesy of https://www.sgleathersilver.com/

First looks are for more than just you and your groom. Bo and Katelyn actually chose not to see each other before their ceremony, but Katelyn couldn’t pass up doing a first look with her dad. As you see here, tears were shed and these photos will be cherished for years to come no doubt.

After Katelyn and her dads emotion first look together, she got to talk with her groom from around the corner. I always suggest couples get a moment together if they want to before their ceremony, even if they choose not to see each other beforehand. It gives a moment to chat, calm any nerves, and just enjoy the excitement of the day together.

Spring colors were on full display, with bold florals and bright accents bringing life to every moment. From the bride’s classic turquoise jewels made by ModWest to the groom’s sharp Western suit, every detail felt true to their roots while still radiating sophistication.

As I mentioned before, The Brooks has endless features that are so photo worthy. The bridals we took of Katelyn made it feel like we were in New Mexico, the backdrop giving that southwestern flare.

https://www.treasuredheartevents.com did the best job all day helping things run so smoothly, they would come at the highest recommendation from me if you are looking for a wedding planner in the Dallas or Fort Worth area!

Ceremony time and capturing the grooms reaction to seeing his bride for the first time is always one of my favorite emotions to capture from any wedding day. You may want to grab a tissue to scroll through the rest of their ceremony because tears were shed, yes maybe even one behind my camera. Shhh, that can be our secret.

Open Air Chapel in Texas
Is this vintage chapel not the most beautiful backdrop for your wedding ceremony?! I am a sucker for any open air chapel and the vintage touches on the one here in Weatherford make it all the better.

After a heartfelt ceremony inside the chapel, guests celebrated + danced the night away in true Western fashion. Laughter, love, and the clinking of boots on the dance floor made this day as joyful as it was beautiful.

Of course we had to take a minute to grab some photos with the cutest mini donkeys you ever did see that were helping carry drinks to guests during their cocktail hour. Hit up https://www.darlindonkeyevents.com/ if you are getting married in the Dallas area and want to have something for your guests to talk about for months. All the guests also enjoyed getting to take photos with the donkeys, which gave them a little break and gives guests a two for one- getting their drinks delivered to them, but also providing entertainment.

They chose to have their first dance directly following their entrance into the reception. One of the fun things about wedding days- you get to choose the order of events! I have had some couples that chose to cut their cake directly after entering, others who went right in to dinner. If you are having an earlier ceremony and are looking for a way to kill some time so you aren’t eating supper too early, you can always choose to have some of your festivities before supper! It also helps your older guests who may leave earlier, get to be a part of them.

After they shared their first dance together as husband and wife, they got to eat supper and enjoy good conversation before we snuck away to the lush field next to the chapel and take their sunset photos, just the two of them. Always one of my favorite parts of a wedding day, a moment for just the two of you to soak in the day. Have I said “always one of my favorite parts of a wedding day” about everything so far? I can’t help it, wedding days and being a part of such a special day is truly just the best.

Back to the reception to continue with festivities. I mentioned earlier, you can customize so many aspects of your day, including if you want to have a cake cutting, first dances, speeches, bouquet toss, and so many other things. If you want to opt out on any of these, hey guess what? You can. Because it is your day and you get to do it your way. I have had plenty of couples who chose to do some things and opt out of others.

They ended the night dancing their hearts out and jamming with https://www.itsyournight.com/ on the aux. Hands down, one of the best DJs I have worked with to date in my almost 7 years as a wedding photographer. Your DJ really helps set the tone of your reception and they absolutely killed it in the best way.
It was a privilege to capture every candid moment, from the sweet stolen glances to the lively reception energy. If you’re dreaming of a wedding that blends classic Western charm with timeless elegance, take notes from this couple—they did it just right.
