Hi, I’m Mel and I’ve been a Colorado elopement photographer documenting love stories all over the U.S. for the last 7 years. From family only elopements in Estes Park to intimate two person Airbnb elopements just outside of Denver- every day is unique just like yours will be too.
Colorado is home to some of the most stunning scenery, from the snowy mountain peaks to the fields of wildflowers in the summertime, it is truly beautiful.
My love language is serving couples on one of the most important days of their life, and that looks different for every couple.

I'm not sure there are enough words to express how wonderful Mel is as a person and a photographer. We hired the turquoise lens for engagement, family rehearsal dinner photos, and our wedding. She's professional, easy to work with, and her work is phenomenal. Neither my husband or I are comfortable in front of a camera, but Mel made it easy to relax, have fun and was able to capture genuine emotions from both of us. Not only does she take awesome pictures she easily wrangles the errant family member for formal group shots and kept the wilder groomsman on the tight timeline for photos. She easily captured all the big moments from our wedding and smaller more intimate moments without being obtrusive, my husband and I had no idea she was taking photos of us half the time. plan ahead:
Many areas of Colorado require a permit in order to perform a ceremony and some permits can take weeks or even a couple months. Weekend and even week day permits fill up for popular times of year in RMNP and other elopement locations in CO.
when to elope in colorado:
In National Parks and even some other parks they will likely be busy even potentially on weekdays. Sunrise is a great option or considering Tues-Thurs. Time of year is also worth considering and I am happy to help with this based off the location you are leaning towards!
