Western Couples Photos at the Feed Yard
Weston and Caity own a feed yard in western Oklahoma and they asked me to come out to document their western couples photos in a place they love. Horses, cattle, a summertime love story.

Including Horses in your Western Couples Session
Having your horses join in on your western couples session is so fun. It is important to find a photographer who understands horses. One thing I am always making sure to do is get their ears forward because owning horses myself, I know how much better photos look when our horses don’t look like donkeys. I have a few tricks up my sleeve to make this happen and over 7 years photographing western couples sessions with horses, I have it down to a science. And yes, I know they are animals that can be unpredictable.

Western Couple Shoot at Sunset
My favorite times of day to take couples portraits is around sunrise or sunset, especially in the summertime. The weather is cooler and the lighting is so dreamy.

Choosing a Location for your Western Couples Session
I can come to your ranch or help you find a beautiful location. I have a huge list of local to me in Oklahoma locations on private land that you can bring your horses to. For Weston and Caity’s session we started at their feed yard before heading to their home to take photos in their pasture.
