Elegant Western Wedding at 81 Ranch
Devin and Lacey’s wedding at 81 Ranch in Enid, Oklahoma, was nothing short of breathtaking. Nestled in northwest Oklahoma, this stunning venue is a hidden gem that perfectly blends rustic charm with timeless elegance. Just an hour and a half from Oklahoma City, 81 Ranch offers a picturesque setting with rolling fields, a beautiful pond, and a grand barn that provides the perfect backdrop for any western or elegant wedding. Being a photographer based near Enid, Ok I have photographed numerous weddings here, I can confidently say it’s one of my favorite venues, and Devin and Lacey’s special day only solidified that sentiment.
Though they call Nebraska home, Devin and Lacey chose to celebrate their love a little closer to family, making 81 Ranch the ideal location for their wedding day. Lacey poured her heart into every detail, ensuring their day was a perfect reflection of their personalities and love story. The result was an unforgettable celebration that seamlessly blended vintage wild west elements with class and elegance.

From the moment guests arrived, it was clear that this wedding was something special. One of the most unique touches was the personalized newspapers crafted specifically for their guests, filled with their love story, wedding details, and fun anecdotes. It was a sentimental and creative way to welcome their loved ones and set the tone for the day.
The groomsmen were gifted cigars, adding a touch of classic sophistication and camaraderie to the day. Meanwhile, Lacey’s bridal details were just as meaningful. Her grandpa played a special role in selecting her western vintage jewelry, ensuring that her accessories not only complemented her look but also carried sentimental value. Every piece she wore held a story, making it even more significant as she walked down the aisle.

Rather than a traditional first look, Devin and Lacey opted for a pre-ceremony first touch. Standing back-to-back with just a door between them, they shared a quiet moment together, exchanging heartfelt words while maintaining the excitement of seeing each other for the first time at the altar. It was an incredibly touching moment that heightened the anticipation for their ceremony.
However, Lacey did choose to have a first look with her father, a moment filled with emotion and love. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight as her dad saw her in her wedding dress for the first time. These intentional moments made their day all the more special, allowing them to focus on the relationships that meant the most to them.

Their ceremony took place at sunset in the chapel that overlooks the stunning rosegarden. Lacey’s walk down the aisle was nothing short of cinematic, her leather wrapped bouquet adding a unique and stylish touch to her ensemble. The vows they exchanged were heartfelt and genuine, a beautiful testament to their love and commitment.
Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the reception, where every detail reflected Devin and Lacey’s personalities. After their traditional wedding cake cutting, they served cobbler and ice cream—a nod to their love for simple, comforting desserts. But what made this even more special was that they personally served their guests. This act of hospitality created an intimate, family-like atmosphere, allowing them to connect with each person who came to celebrate their love.

In a departure from the typical sunset photos, Devin and Lacey opted for nighttime portraits. This decision allowed them to step away from the reception for a few quiet moments together under the stars and the stunning bridge near the venue. The results were nothing short of magical—moody, romantic, and timeless. The soft glow of the venue’s string lights and the night sky above made for the most intimate and cinematic portraits, capturing their love in such a unique and breathtaking way.

Lacey also chose to opt out of a traditional bouquet toss and instead chose to dedicate her bouquet to her mother, again so intentional and not a dry eye in the room (yes including me!)

Choosing to do a small cake, they got to serve cobbler from the amazing Hello Catering who did a fantastic job on all of their food and display. They are located out of OKC but will travel to you anywhere in Oklahoma! Choosing to serve the dessert themselves to their guests allowed them time to say hello and connect with so many of the people that were there to support them on their day.

As the night came to a close and guests began to head home, Devin and Lacey chose to share a private last dance in the empty reception space. With only the soft hum of their wedding song playing and the twinkle lights above them, they swayed together in a quiet moment of reflection. It was the perfect way to soak in the day’s emotions and end the night on an intimate, heartfelt note.
